Lyon was the capital of the silk industry during 3 centuries with its velvet, brocade, and satin.

Your guide will take you to the Vieux-Lyon neighbourhood for a surprising discovery at one of the very last firms that still produces Made in France silk, Brochier.

This tour includes an introduction to the history of silk in Lyon, a presentation of fabrics, and two  demonstrations of :
- Handmade painting on silk  velvet
- Real silkworms !
